Aluminium Speaker Cone
Metal speaker cone are also common in loudspeaker production, and it also has distinctive characteristics in sound. Metal cone is generally made of aluminum or its alloy material, relative to other metals, it is stable and light weight. The rigidity of the metal cone is excellent, and therefore, it has outstanding characteristics in terms of dynamics and analytical forces. It also is good performance to control the distortion.
Compared to other non-metallic speaker cone, metal diaphragm a little heavy, the damping characteristics are not good. So to drive and control speaker unit is not easy. This requires to take more design in the circuit of the speaker, the cost will increase.
“Metallic sound” is a disadvantage of the metal diaphragm. It is caused by the phenomenon of basin splitting at the high frequency end. At present, it is often to avoid it through covering special coatings on the surface. Anodization is one of the most common surface treatments for metal speaker cone.

PP is also one of the common cone body material. Compared to paper pulp cone body, PP speaker cone superior in moisture-proof and waterproof effect. Because it is a synthetic material, there are many improvements to the PP cone. On the existing basis, PP cone can be overcome for some deficiencies and improved by adding other materials, this is the ideal aspect for the PP cone. PP cone also has excellent damping characteristics, the sense of hearing shows gentle and nature. Therefore, there are also outstanding speakers in use of pp material. But for disadvantages, the rigidity of the PP cone perform normally, the performance of rich high-frequency music is not suitable, and easy to be prone to induce distortion.
From production style, PP cone can be divided into injection pp cone and vacuum pp cone. And it is also easy to make surface treatment like vacuum plating.
